The Office of Career Services in partnership with the University of Nairobi’s Ajira Digital Club (EKAZI), the Ajira Digital Program and eMobilis Mobile Technology Institute offered a free 4-day physical training and mentorship to University of Nairobi Students and Alumni from October 11-14, 2022 with 290 students attending.

On 21st October 2022, The University of Nairobi Students Association embarked on its annual talent search. The activity aimed at recognizing and supporting students to develop themselves through talent.
After the recently established Disability Policy at UoN; the disability mainstreaming committee spearheaded a retreat as one of its implementation efforts. The objective of the retreat was to develop a strategic plan and visualize the milestones towards the establishment of a Disability Support Centre.
The 2-day retreat was held on October 20-21,2022 at the Kenya Institute of Special Education and developed a strategic plan for 2023-2028 for Disability Mainstreaming at UoN.
As of December 1, 2022, the University community can walk in a Gender desk and anonymously report cases of Gender based violence, rape and any other form of abuse and receive immediate clinical and psychological care.
This was among the approvals that the O3 Plus Institutional Working Group (IWG) was seeking when they paid a courtesy call on the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Kiama on Tuesday, 18th October, 2022.
Mentoring High Schools students with Disability
The University of Nairobi’s Office of Career Services in partnership with the Disability Liaison Office, hosted a Career Fair for high school students with Disabilities on October 18, 2022. The Career Fair was attended by 145 students from Thika High School for the Blind, Treeside Secondary School, Rev. Muhoro High School and Machakos High School for the Deaf.
The University of Nairobi in collaboration with UNESCO is in the process of implementing the Our Rights, Our Lives, Our Future (O3 Plus) project. The overall goal of the 03 plus project is to ensure that young people in higher and tertiary education institutions in the Eastern and Southern Africa realize positive health, education and gender equality outcomes through sustained reductions in new HIV infections, unintended pregnancy and gender based violence.
The Office of Career Services in Partnership with NCBA Bank and Citi Foundation, we held the annual Company of the Year Competition at the University of Nairobi on Thursday 13th October. Students from various schools came to showcase their business enterprises. The Company Program provides introductory economic education for high school students by allowing them to organize and operate an actual business.
The Office of the Dean of Students and Career Services in partnership with Universities and Colleges Students' Peace Association of Kenya (UCSPAK) and the Youth Enterprise Fund on Friday October 21, 2022 hosted a Youth Economic Empowerment Forum dubbed ‘Jisort Youth Economic Empowerment’.
The University of Nairobi in collaboration with the European Union hosted the Erasmus Day Study in Europe fair on the 13th of October 2022 at the University's Main Campus, Taifa hall from 9 am.
The study in Europe fair attracted major organizations that facilitate students travel and study abroad such as DAAD, Campus France and other facilitators from European nations such as Sweden, Italy, Hungary and many others.
