READY FOR THE CORPORATE WORLD!! UoN HOSTS THE JA KENYA WORK READINESS PROGRAM

The Office of the Dean of Students and Career Services played host to Junior Achievement Kenya and their collaborators Corporate Moves Africa at the University of Nairobi’s Skill Center, Education Building Room ED 213 where the Work Readiness Program for the Google Scholarship Course  participants was held. The training which was set for the 19th of July 2022, begun at 11 am to 3pm attracting an audience of 36 students from the University of Nairobi among many other Universities.

7 UON STUDENTS HIKE MT.KENYA TO RAISE AWARENESS ON THE O3 PLUS HEALTH AND WELLBEING YOUTH PROGRAM

Much enthusiasm filled Taifa Hall Auditorium at the University of Nairobi’s main campus as the Office of the Dean of Students and Careers Services hosted the launch of the O3 plus program and the flag off of the O3 Plus wellness hike to Mt.Kenya on Wednesday the 13th of July. The event that saw the attendance of students from both the University of Nairobi and Mount Kenya University is a joint initiative of the University of Nairobi, Mount Kenya University and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

The Dawn of a New Era: The Successful Launch of the University of Nairobi Foundation

It is with great festivity and pomp that the University of Nairobi marked the launch of the University of Nairobi Foundation at an exquisite dinner party hosted at the University’s famous Great Courts on the evening of the 30th of July. The dinner whose sole intention was to mark the inception of the University of Nairobi Foundation was set to commence at 1730 hours with an exhilarating performance from the University of Nairobi Band.

UoN Kenya Model United Nations Students (KMUN) Crowned Winners of the KMUN Warm Up Challenge

40 students representing the Kenya Model United Nations (KMUN) UON -Parklands Chapter, participated in the Intervarsity KMUN Warm up Challenge at ZTECH University on Saturday 26 June 2022. The KMUN Warm-up Challenge is an annual affair during which various Universities participate for trivia/debate sessions progressing in various stages.

UoN Students Awarded for outstanding Architectural Designs

The University of Nairobi’s Office of the Dean of Students and Career Services hosted the launch of the Endelevu Design Challenge Awards in conjunction with Niko Green and the Faculty of the Built Environment at the University of Nairobi Towers on June 10th 2022. The event was meant to award the outstanding architectural designs developed by students from the University of Nairobi and other Universities for the construction of a Nyonyesha Hub at the University of Nairobi.

University of Nairobi Hosts the Huawei ICT 2022 Job Fair

An exciting day for the graduating class of 2022 and the graduates of 2021 as the Office of the Dean of Students and Careers Services in collaboration with Huawei Technologies Ltd. and other local business partners hosted the Huawei 2022 ICT Job Fair. The Job Fair was held on the Tuesday 31st May 2022 at the Chandaria Auditorium from 1.00pm to 5.00pm, a fitting way to bring to a close the month of May
