Order of Important activities for First Year Students

The 225th University Senate held on Wednesday 4th August 2021 considered and approved the Revised Semester Schedules for the 2021/2022 Academic Year. Please note the following important dates and activities:

Monday 13th September 2021
Early Online registration of First Years begins

Monday 20th September 2021
Physical reporting to the University for all First Years
SWA to organize for the accommodation of the students

Online registration for first year students

The University of Nairobi will commence a new academic year on Monday, September 20, 2021.  Applicants who received a formal letter of offer to join the University this academic year 2021/2022 are required to complete the registration process online.

Registration is the process by which you formally enroll at the University. The online registration window for all new students will open from Monday, September 13, 2021. All applicants are required to register during this period.

To access your admission letter and joining instructions:

1. Log on to https://smis.uonbi.ac.ke using your registration no. and your KCSE index no. as the password​​

                   Username: registration number

                   Password: your KCSE index number without ‘/2020’​

2. Access the student portal and download your admission letter and joining instructions.
