Office of the Dean of Students hosts a Talents Development Training

The yellow brick road leads to the Jumuia Conference Center Limuru, where the Office of the Dean of Students hosted a Talents Development Training Program from March 24 to March 26, 2022. The mighty band of 50 students selected from the winners of the UoN Talents Day held on December 9, 2021, marched down to Oz, where they would learn the nitty-grittys to harness, nurture and flourish with their gifts.

International Wheelchair Day Celebrations on Tuesday March 1, 2022 at the Graduation Square, UoN

The International Wheelchair Day is commemorated annually around the World on 1st March to celebrate the positive impact a wheelchair has on the lives of wheelchair users. The day is dedicated to celebrate the great work of people who provide wheelchairs, support and care for wheelchair users and make the World a better and more accessible place for people with mobility disabilities.

UNSA Elections 2022 - quick information

On February 17, 2022, the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) officially announced that elections for the various Faculty and Campus Students associations will take place virtually on Friday, March 25, 2022. The Commission also released timelines for the recruitment of Returning Officers and Assistant Returning Officers (find the attached election timelines here).

Walk to Promote Health and Well-being among University Students

Over 700 staff, students, friends and community of Thika gathered at the Mount Kenya University on Friday, February 11, 2022 to take part in a joint walk to raise awareness of O3plus.  

The University of Nairobi, UNESCO and Mount Kenya University walked to raise awareness for the students' physical and health wellness while in campus and to integrate the community interests with the students’ wellbeing. The walk is one of the key advocacy activities part implemented under the O3 Plus project.

The University of Nairobi in collaboration with the National Council for Persons with Disability (NCPWD)  organized celebrations to mark the International Day of Persons with Disability (IDPD) on Wednesday 1st  to Friday 3rd December, 2021 from 8am to 4pm at the Great Court and Taifa Hall, Main Campus.

The University of Nairobi in collaboration with the National Council for Persons with Disability (NCPWD), Kenya Society for the Blind (KSB) and Open Society Initiative for Eastern Africa (OSIEA) organized celebrations to mark the International Day of Persons with Disability (IDPD) on Wednesday 1st to Friday 3rd December, 2021 from 8am to 4pm at the Great Court and Taifa Hall, Main Campus.
