The University of Nairobi Talents Day

The University of Nairobi Talents Day third edition was truly one for the books. Hosted by the Office of the Dean of Students in conjunction with the University Nairobi Students Association (UNSA), on the 9th of December 2022, students from all across the 12 campuses of the University congregated at Taifa Hall to celebrated an recognize the diverse and immense talent among themselves.

TECNO JOB FAIR

The University of Nairobi office of Career Services in partnership with Tecno -Kenya held a Job Fair at Taifa Hall on Tuesday 29th November 2022. The Job Fair, themed work smart, start today sought to officially launch the Graduate trainee program. In this program, leading transsion brands such as Tecno, Itel and Infinix will recruit students and recent graduates and put them on a 6 monthly program with a high possibility of permanent employment based on productivity.

Celebrating International Students Day

In recognition of the diversity among the students and staff enrolled at the University of Nairobi, the University sets aside a special day dubbed the University of Nairobi International Students Day. The day is meant to celebrate and appreciate international students from different parts of Africa and the World at large.

The University of Nairobi Hosts Moi Girls High School for a Career Talk

Moi Girls High School enjoyed an enlightening and informative day at the University of Nairobi hosted by the University of Nairobi Office of the Dean of Students and Career Services and the University of Nairobi Admissions Office on the 7th of October 2022. The gleeful students arrived at the University of Nairobi where they were scheduled to begin their career talk at 9:00 am at the University of Nairobi Towers.

UON TAKES PART IN THE JUBILEE GROUP JOB SHADOW MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

In partnership with the Office of the dean of students and Career Service, Jubilee Holdings hosted a one day career mentorship on the 28th of July  2022 from 8am to 5pm. The career mentorship, hosted at the Jubilee Insurance Head Office, Wabera Street, 8th floor, saw the attendance of 14 students from the University of Nairobi among many other students from different universities.

READY FOR THE CORPORATE WORLD!! UoN HOSTS THE JA KENYA WORK READINESS PROGRAM

The Office of the Dean of Students and Career Services played host to Junior Achievement Kenya and their collaborators Corporate Moves Africa at the University of Nairobi’s Skill Center, Education Building Room ED 213 where the Work Readiness Program for the Google Scholarship Course  participants was held. The training which was set for the 19th of July 2022, begun at 11 am to 3pm attracting an audience of 36 students from the University of Nairobi among many other Universities.

7 UON STUDENTS HIKE MT.KENYA TO RAISE AWARENESS ON THE O3 PLUS HEALTH AND WELLBEING YOUTH PROGRAM

Much enthusiasm filled Taifa Hall Auditorium at the University of Nairobi’s main campus as the Office of the Dean of Students and Careers Services hosted the launch of the O3 plus program and the flag off of the O3 Plus wellness hike to Mt.Kenya on Wednesday the 13th of July. The event that saw the attendance of students from both the University of Nairobi and Mount Kenya University is a joint initiative of the University of Nairobi, Mount Kenya University and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

UoN Students Scale the heights of Mt. Kenya for the health and well-being of the Youth

Nairobi, Kenya, 28 May 2022 — Nine Kenyan students, four ladies and five gentlemen, are preparing for a new challenge: to scale the heights of Mount Kenya . To prepare for this challenge, they are climbing today the stratovolcano Mount Longonot. This initiative is part of the Our Rights, Our Lives, Our, Our Future (O3 Plus) Programme that was launched at University of Nairobi and at Mount Kenya University by UNESCO Regional Office for Eastern Africa.
