On 31st March 2023, the University of Nairobi Students Association, Faculty of Arts and social Sciences cemented their place in the University’s history by hosting the first-ever handover ceremony at Taifa Hall , Main Campus. The event was aimed at commemorating and celebrating their one year of leadership. The Peter Nguka led team having come to the end of their leadership term which started on March 25th last year held a symbolic ceremony that outlined their entire journey.

On 21st October 2022, The University of Nairobi Students Association embarked on its annual talent search. The activity aimed at recognizing and supporting students to develop themselves through talent.

On February 17, 2022, the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) officially announced that elections for the various Faculty and Campus Students associations will take place virtually on Friday, March 25, 2022. The Commission also released timelines for the recruitment of Returning Officers and Assistant Returning Officers (find the attached election timelines here).

President Uhuru Kenyatta issued a directive that all learning institutions to be closed immediately once the first Covid-19 case was reported in the country. This was in mid March and now we are in June, the learners have gone through many challenges adopting to what we are calling the "new normal." To add to this,River Nyando bursts its banks, flooding homes and displacing more than 13,000 people. This was an unfortunate incident but that did not deter our very own fourth year student, Jimmy Magero from doing something about it.
