The Office of the Dean of Students and Career Services on Monday May 23 2022 held an orientation session followed by interviews for 94 shortlisted Faculty of Agriculture, Veterinary Medicine and Biosystems Engineering Students out of 174 received expressions of interest. The orientation session was held at MLT 401 at the UoN Towers, 4th Floor and was attended by University of Nairobi and Kenya Water Institute students shortlisted for the AICAT Program.

The Office of the Dean of Students and Career Services on Thursday and Friday May 19 and 20, 2022 organized a Job Fair for University of Nairobi Students. The fresh morning was coated with optimism, brown envelopes being waved back and forth as employers and prospective employees gather outside Taifa Hall, Main Campus to kick off the University of Nairobi Students Job Fair 2022.

The yellow brick road leads to the Jumuia Conference Center Limuru, where the Office of the Dean of Students hosted a Talents Development Training Program from March 24 to March 26, 2022. The mighty band of 50 students selected from the winners of the UoN Talents Day held on December 9, 2021, marched down to Oz, where they would learn the nitty-grittys to harness, nurture and flourish with their gifts.

The International Wheelchair Day is commemorated annually around the World on 1st March to celebrate the positive impact a wheelchair has on the lives of wheelchair users. The day is dedicated to celebrate the great work of people who provide wheelchairs, support and care for wheelchair users and make the World a better and more accessible place for people with mobility disabilities.

On February 17, 2022, the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) officially announced that elections for the various Faculty and Campus Students associations will take place virtually on Friday, March 25, 2022. The Commission also released timelines for the recruitment of Returning Officers and Assistant Returning Officers (find the attached election timelines here).

Over 700 staff, students, friends and community of Thika gathered at the Mount Kenya University on Friday, February 11, 2022 to take part in a joint walk to raise awareness of O3plus.  

The University of Nairobi, UNESCO and Mount Kenya University walked to raise awareness for the students' physical and health wellness while in campus and to integrate the community interests with the students’ wellbeing. The walk is one of the key advocacy activities part implemented under the O3 Plus project.

The Accounting Students Association (ASA) in Partnership with Starthub Africa would like to invite applicants for the Starthub Africa Digital Innovation program.

The Office of Career Services in partnership with Harley Reed is planning to roll out a Business Readiness Program for the Faculty of Business students.

The University of Nairobi set aside Thursday, 27th January 2022 to hold its annual prayer day. This blended event served as a platform to commit the University Community and all planned activities for the year 2022 into God’s hands as well as give thanks to God for his grace and protection.

The University of Nairobi in collaboration with the National Council for Persons with Disability (NCPWD)  organized celebrations to mark the International Day of Persons with Disability (IDPD) on Wednesday 1st  to Friday 3rd December, 2021 from 8am to 4pm at the Great Court and Taifa Hall, Main Campus.
