Students and Leaders Convene at Pan Africa Trade Summit to Discuss Financial Empowerment

In a groundbreaking summit held at the Catholic University of East Africa, students and their leaders from various campuses gathered for the Pan Africa Trade Summit. The summit was sponsored by noOnes, a pioneering financial communication app with an aim to empower young people by connecting them to global conversations and the world’s financial system.

Noones Meet up with varsity students at Chandaria auditorium

The University of Nairobi Students Association in partnership with noOnes, Spidered a dynamic Pan-Africa Trade Meetup at the university of Nairobi, Chandaria Auditorium. The main agenda of the event was the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) agreement, a landmark pact designed to stimulate business opportunities and collaboration among African nations.

Career Fair and Expo 2024

The Office of Career Services is a critical department in the University that helps graduates transition smoothly from learning to earning. This is achieved by developing essential competencies among graduates to groom them for the job market. The mandate of the Office therefore is two-fold, linking Graduates to the job market and enhancing the value of graduates through skills and competencies development. 

UoN Career Fair and Expo 2024, Preparing Students for the 21st Century.

The University of Nairobi's Office of Career Services hosted a three day Career Fair and Expo 2024, themed "Future Ready? Navigating Through the 21st Century." The Expo brought industry partners closer to students, offering mentorship and guidance on thriving in the competitive job market. The fair featured a variety of engaging activities, including exhibitions, on one interactions with industry leaders, insightful panel discussions, CV reviews and revamps, psychometric testing, and representation from a wide range of industries.

High Schools Career Talks - UoN Career Fair 2023

During the University of Nairobi’s Career & Job Fair 2023, the Office of Career Services opened its doors to High School Students from around Nairobi and many more from various parts of the country.  The UoN Career Fair that was held from 17 - 19 May, 2023 was structured to have specialized career talks for High school Students on Thursday 18 May, 2023. These sessions were facilitated by the University of Nairobi’s Office of Career Services, the Admissions Office in partnership with The Kenya University and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS).

UON TAKES PART IN THE JUBILEE GROUP JOB SHADOW MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

In partnership with the Office of the dean of students and Career Service, Jubilee Holdings hosted a one day career mentorship on the 28th of July  2022 from 8am to 5pm. The career mentorship, hosted at the Jubilee Insurance Head Office, Wabera Street, 8th floor, saw the attendance of 14 students from the University of Nairobi among many other students from different universities.

A Brown-lettered Day-UoN 2022 Job Fair

The Office of the Dean of Students and Career Services on Thursday and Friday May 19 and 20, 2022 organized a Job Fair for University of Nairobi Students. The fresh morning was coated with optimism, brown envelopes being waved back and forth as employers and prospective employees gather outside Taifa Hall, Main Campus to kick off the University of Nairobi Students Job Fair 2022.
