University of Nairobi Students Association Holds a Transformative Leadership Retreat at Mombasa.

The University of Nairobi Students Association recently concluded a successful leadership retreat at Mombasa Beach Hotel. Organized by the Office of the Dean of Students, the retreat aimed to cultivate a new generation of courageous, critical, and strategic young leaders from the University of Nairobi.

The program focused on building the capacity of these young men and women to seize opportunities not only within Kenya but globally. It emphasized character development to ensure they can sustain and thrive in these opportunities.

Students and Leaders Convene at Pan Africa Trade Summit to Discuss Financial Empowerment

In a groundbreaking summit held at the Catholic University of East Africa, students and their leaders from various campuses gathered for the Pan Africa Trade Summit. The summit was sponsored by noOnes, a pioneering financial communication app with an aim to empower young people by connecting them to global conversations and the world’s financial system.

ONGOING ACTIVITIES AT CHSS DURING COVID-19

Our student counsellor at College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS) Mr. Paul Muia together with 7 peer counsellors have formed 46 social support groups that they use as a platform to reach out to students during this uncertain times Covid-19 has brought. The result has been reaching out to over 35,000 students, who have received the support of online counselling through calls or texting. These 35,000 students are grouped into 46 social support groups formed into respective whatsapp group.

WEBINAR: HOW TO INCREASE YOUR EMPLOYABILITY

The Office of Career Services in partnership with a team from Brighter Monday will on Friday May 22, 2020 hold a Webinar session for students from 2.00 – 5.00pm. This will be the first of many other webinars lined up to help students’ transition from campus to work place.
