Dr. Tarus, in his address, underscored the perpetual challenges student leaders face. "Your leadership journey as a student leader is going to be a crisis day in and day out, as you're representing a huge number of students. This training will help your leadership to thrive as it will equip you with the necessary skills to overcome the crisis," he stated
During the retreat, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Kiama shared insights from his own development journey to leadership. He encouraged students to continually grow their skills, emphasizing their role as Kenya's future leaders.
