Celebrating International Students Day

In recognition of the diversity among the students and staff enrolled at the University of Nairobi, the University sets aside a special day dubbed the University of Nairobi International Students Day. The day is meant to celebrate and appreciate international students from different parts of Africa and the World at large.

Student Welfare Consultations: Kisumu Campus

The University of Nairobi’s Office of the Dean of Students and Career Services on October 6, 2022, paid the Kisumu Campus a courtesy visit. The team was comprised of Mr. Johnson Kinyua Ireri, the Dean of Students, Lucy Gikundi, Deputy Dean of Students and Naomi Nyaboga, Head of Section, Career Services. The meeting was held at Kisumu Campus from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.

The Dawn of a New Era: The Successful Launch of the University of Nairobi Foundation

It is with great festivity and pomp that the University of Nairobi marked the launch of the University of Nairobi Foundation at an exquisite dinner party hosted at the University’s famous Great Courts on the evening of the 30th of July. The dinner whose sole intention was to mark the inception of the University of Nairobi Foundation was set to commence at 1730 hours with an exhilarating performance from the University of Nairobi Band.

UoN Hosts inaugural High schools Career Fair & Expo

The University of Nairobi through the Office of the Dean of Students and Career Services in partnership with Higher Education and Industry Partners in Kenya organized a one day Career Fair & Expo at University of Nairobi Main Campus on Friday November 26, 2021 from 9.00am -5.00pm targeting Form 4 High School Students.

APPEAL FOR SUPPORT OF THE UoN NEEDY STUDENTS FUND

The Office of the Dean of Students has received numerous requests for support from our needy students to help them cope with life and learning at home during this Covid-19 period. A team from the Office of the Dean of Students met and brainstormed on the various students’ needs, how to meet the needs and how to logistically distribute the support received.

The team identified three key needs that students require support in:

§  Material needs – food and nonfood items

§  Technological needs – smart phones, tablets and laptops for eLearning
