KENYA'S DEBT RISES TO SH6.28 TRILLION

In the quarterly economic and budgetary report, Treasury Secretary Ukur Yatani says "the increase in public debt is attributed to external loan disbursements and the uptake of domestic debt during the period." The sharp rise in debt portfolio is set to exert more pressure on the country's revenues that are already under performing due to economic disruptions, job losses, and salary cuts occasioned by the pandemic.

UZALENDO AWARD RECOGNIZES 3 UoN STAFF

On 1st June Kenyans celebrate Madaraka day, this year was an exception as it was done virtually amidst the Corona virus pandemic. 57 years of Madaraka, the government saw it fit to recognize contributions from patriotic individuals who have played their part and role in different ways cutting across all sectors in the fight against covid-19. President Kenyatta decorated 68 Kenyans with new Presidential Order of Service award known as 'Uzalendo Awards.'

COVID-19 EFFECT ON CHILDREN AS DCI ISSUES A WARNING TO PARENTS
