UoN VC Prof Kiama announced that the University will hold its 63rd graduation ceremony virtually on the 25th September 2020 amidst the Covid-19 pandemic that has crippled social gatherings. All students qualified for PhDs, Masters, Bachelors, Diplomas and fellowships will graduate. The UoN Chief Medical Officer has issued an Infection, Prevention and Control Measures in readiness for the 63rd graduation ceremony. Schools might be reopening in two and half months time (September) and according to CS Prof Magoha, he felt confident that the preparations in place to check the spread of Covid-19 among learners were sufficient. The Education Ministry still has ongoing consultation on the academic calendar year more so on the school exams. Prof Magoha requested that board of management should support governmental efforts to create a safe,conducive environment for the students upon school resumption. These efforts include:
