High Schools Career Talks - UoN Career Fair 2023

During the University of Nairobi’s Career & Job Fair 2023, the Office of Career Services opened its doors to High School Students from around Nairobi and many more from various parts of the country.  The UoN Career Fair that was held from 17 - 19 May, 2023 was structured to have specialized career talks for High school Students on Thursday 18 May, 2023. These sessions were facilitated by the University of Nairobi’s Office of Career Services, the Admissions Office in partnership with The Kenya University and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS).

AICAT Cohort VI Briefing Session

On Thursday 9 March 2023, the Office of the Dean of Students and Career Services facilitated a briefing session to kick off the rolling out of the Arava International Centre for Agricultural Training (AICAT) Internship Program at  8-4-4 Lecture Theatre, Upper Kabete Campus.

Junior Achievement Kenya Launches Social Innovation Relay Program to Empower High School Students in Partnership with NCBA Bank Kenya

Nairobi- Junior Achievement Kenya, a leading nonprofit organization in inspiring and preparing youth through its entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and work readiness programs, has launched this year’s program to empower high school students to succeed in their future endeavors. The program was launched at an event attended by students, educators, and partners on 4th March 2023, held at The University of Nairobi.

Mckinsey & Company Career Information Session on the Young Leaders Program

In partnership with the Office of the Dean of Students and Career Services, the Mckinsey & Company facilitated a Career Information Session to talk about their Young Leaders Program. The session, hosted at the University of Nairobi’s Towers, LT 401, 4th Floor on 7 February, 2023 from 11 am to 1pm was aimed at creating awareness on the company’s Young Leaders Program and guiding students on the application, interview and selection processes of the program The Young Leaders Program is a 2 year program that works on development of exceptional young talent into real leaders.

World Bank Young Professionals Program Information Session

On the 13th of January 2023, the University of Nairobi Office of the Dean of Students and Career Services hit the road running as it opened its doors to the World Bank Group. The World Bank  Group facilitated an information session on its Young Professionals Program at the University of Nairobi’s Towers, Manu Chandaria Auditorium, 6th Floor, an opportunity that would not only shed light on the YPP but other opportunities at the World Bank.

UoN grabs the best ICT Academy Award 2022!

The University of Nairobi is proud of the continued Partnership with the Huawei Technologies Ltd. Since the signing of a Collaborative Agreement in 2018. Through this partnership, the University was awarded  ‘The Best ICT Academy 2022’ during the Huawei ICT Competition 2022-2023 Award Ceremony held on Friday February 24, 2023 at the Serena Hotel.

Invitation to the Hult Prize Finals!

The Hult Prize journey at the University of Nairobi has come a long way since we started this edition in September 2022. After various boot camps, training sessions, and 2 qualifying rounds, we have reached the on Campus final round, the most exciting phase!

The Webinar shall explore how to manage changes when reinventing oneself without getting stuck. The webinar is relevant for students in all classes. 

The University of Nairobi: A Powerhouse in the holistic Development of Students

The University of Nairobi’s Office of the Dean of Students and Career Services is one that has blazed the trail in its mandate to achieve the holistic growth, development and wellbeing of students. A reputation that has seen the office attract numerous accolades both within and without the University’s body. Emerging position two of twenty six within the university’s Central Administration Units for the financial year 2021/2022. At the Uongozi Career Awards the office was also recognized as winners in the category of the best Office of Career Services and Mr.

The University of Nairobi Talents Day

The University of Nairobi Talents Day third edition was truly one for the books. Hosted by the Office of the Dean of Students in conjunction with the University Nairobi Students Association (UNSA), on the 9th of December 2022, students from all across the 12 campuses of the University congregated at Taifa Hall to celebrated an recognize the diverse and immense talent among themselves.
