What is man? Man is meant to be a social being. The good book tells us that man was created and given authority over all the animals to subdue and fill the earth. Man decided to set his own path and rules and go his own way from God's original purpose. From one man came mankind.
What is mankind? the human race, collection of all races together. What is race? the grouping of based on physical or social distinct qualities into groups. What happened to humankind when we began to label things as black, white, pink, etc?
Martin Luther King is most famous for his I have a dream speech. He had a dream that his children will live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. Well, if he saw what was happening today he would have turned in his grave. Are we judging people by the content of their character or because we are in a position of power we choose to Lord it over others? An individual or group of individuals take it upon themselves to be the judge, juror and executor. What happened to justice?
My son introduced me to Justice League which is a team of superheroes that save the world, who want peace, protect the citizens who in turn can live in freedom without fear. This is what justice stands for:peace, respect, fair play, fairness, equity. Did this apply to #GeorgeFloyd? How did we as humans get here? What happened to our humanity?
