The UoN Kili Rover Scouts Crew hosted a transformative Project Development Training on December 7th, 2024, at the University of Nairobi's CCU Building. The training brought together a diverse group of participants, including students from various faculties within the University of Nairobi and scouts from different regions of the country. This diverse gathering of young, passionate individuals was united by a common goal: to make a positive impact on society.
The training was designed to equip participants with the essential skills to conceptualize, plan, and execute impactful projects. Renowned experts, including Ivy Akii, Founder of Ginko Africa, and Dr. Josephat Gitonga, a Scout Leader and Lecturer from the University of Nairobi, served as esteemed facilitators. The training also highlighted the importance of scouting initiatives, under Scouts for SDGs. By aligning scouting activities with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals, participants gained a deeper understanding of how they can contribute to global challenges.
Through this immersive experience, the UoN Kili Rover Scouts empowered the next generation of leaders, inspiring them to address the pressing issues facing our world today. The training fostered a sense of community, collaboration, and innovation, setting the stage for future impactful projects.
