COVID SEMINAR SERIES 4: FISCAL AND SOCIAL PROTECTION POLICIES IN TIMES OF COVID 19

The COVID-19 pandemic has had devastating socioeconomic impacts worldwide. This has led governments to take both fiscal and social measures in response to it.

The Committee on Fiscal Studies in its weekly webinar series brings together a multidisciplinary panel to discuss the considerations to be taken into account when adopting fiscal and social protection policies as well as their potential impact from a developing country perspective. Thus, flanking measures that can be taken by governments to support the informal sector, the health sector, the agricultural sector, SMEs as well as social security. The discussion will further be on the impact and potential usefulness of these measures both during and after the pandemic. Join us!
