Since the start of the outbreak of Covid-19, the virus has spread to over 184 countries and territories. The world has come together in an effort to combat the virus and one of the many ways is the launch of a global Humanitarian Response Plan (HRP) on 25th March 2020. This humanitarian mandate sees to it that countries analyse and respond to the direct public health and indirect immediate humanitarian consequences of the pandemic while also sustaining ongoing humanitarian operations and lifesaving porgrammes esepcially for the vulnerable in society.
Against this background, the Committee on Fiscal Studies has organised a 2 hour webinar with a multidisciplinary panel to discuss humanitarian action during emergencies with a special focus on African countries especially Kenya, in the face of COVID-19 pandemic.
You are invited to the virtual seminar that will take place on April 16 2020 from 10 am - 12 Noon.
