The University through the UoN Consulting group and the Office of Career Services on Friday March 7 hosted the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) for an Information session with students at LT 410, UoN Towers. Over 150 students attended the session aimed at giving more information to students about opportunities at BCG.
BCG is a global frontrunner and innovator in business strategy helping clients to solve complex business problems and delivering innovative solutions. The BCG Business analyst program targets fresh graduates looking to explore a career in consulting and develop young talent into future leaders through research, training, mentoring and coaching sessions. During the program, graduates receive mentorship and coaching by working alongside experienced consultants and collaborating in a team where the young career birds get to develop their skills and advance their knowledge.
The information session incorporated testimonies from two UoN Graduates who highlighted their experiences at BCG. Henry Mogere, an Associate at BCG graduated from UoN in 2023 with a BSC in Economics and Statistics Degree, Second Class Honors indicated that “the opportunity as a Business Analyst with BCG has given me exposure to global best practice”.
Auta Mandi, an Associate at BCG graduated from the University of Nairobi in 2023 with a BSC Acturial Science Degree and is currently a Business Analyst with BCG focusing on Social Impact and the Public Sector. He also gave a testimony of the conducive working environment at BCG that gives room for career growth.
BCG offers multiple pathways to students from being a BCG Generalist collaborating with top talent on projects to a BCG TTDA that brings deep toxic expertise to consulting teams to BCG X to build and design platforms and software to address the world’s most important challenges and opportunities.
The application window for the 1 year BCG Graduates-Business Analyst Program is open and fresh graduates looking to kick-start a career in consulting are invited to apply for the March Cohort 2 intake. The next intake will be in October 2025.
