The University of Nairobi's Office of the Dean of Students and Career Services hosted the Campus Smart programme on October 7, 2022 in partnership with the Ufungamano Christian Leadership Centre. The Career guidance and mentorship session was held at the Ufungamano Christian Leadership Center.
The colorful evening aimed at addressing career development, disciplines to thrive on campus and navigating the dark side of campus life, was attended by 369 first year students from various all Faculties. In attendance were Mr. Johnson Kinyua, the Dean of Students Rev. Mitei, the Protestants Chaplain, and various student leaders.
The session themed 'Starting Well, Finishing Strong' lived up to its word by informing the first year students in attendance on how to successfully begin one’s campus life incorporating both focus, drive and faith in all their activities. The speakers were also quite passionate about the importance of finishing just as well as one started referencing the proverb ‘all is well that ends well’.
The session was concluded by a mingling session where first year students had a chance to interact with fellow students of other years to relate and learn from their experience.
