CALL TO FIRST YEAR STUDENTS TO JOIN ROVER SCOUTS UoN CHAPTER

The University of Nairobi Kili Rovers scouts is registered at the Dean of students’ office under professional students clubs and society. It is one of the largest students’ movements with membership drawn from every campuses i.e. main campus, chiromo campus, kikuyu campus, parklands campus, upper Kabete, lower Kabete and Kenya science. The membership has grown over the years and we are at 280 active scouts. Our activities are based on the elements:

  1. Physical development
  2. Social development
  3. Character development
  4. Mental development
  5. Community development
  6. Service oriental
  7. Religious development

Over the years we have taken part in both internal and external events such as educational/investiture/training/competition/chief scouts award camp, leadership trainings, mounting of guard of honor during graduation and any school’s event, taking part in voluntary services both on campus and in the Nairobi county and other parts of the country, community service and outreach among others. We also took part in the competitions and proceeded to the east Africa, Rwanda in 2019. Most of the active scouts have been called to represent Kenya scouts across the world over the years.

We also help nurturing talents to scouts and non-scouts through various platforms under the crew such us kili football club (male), kili starlets (female) and kili dance crew.  We there for wish to welcome the first years and continuing students to join the club so as to make their stay in the university fun, educative and add various skills.
