UoN LEADS THE OVERALL UNIVERSITY GRADUATE EMPLOYABILITY RANKING IN KENYA

Several Kenyan bosses reportedly prefer the University of Nairobi (UoN) graduates, according to recent research. The research found out that those who passed through UoN had a 38% chance of landing jobs.

Others included Kenyatta University (30%), Technical University (10%), Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (19%). Egerton and Maseno tied with 18%.

Dubbed "The State of Graduate Employability in Kenya," the study was conducted between November 2019 and January 2020, and undertaken by CPS International.

The University of Nairobi is the most preferred source of new staff by Kenyan employers, a new study says.

Graduates from the institution have an employability rate of 38 per cent.

Kenyatta University follows at 30 per cent, Moi (25), Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture Technology (JKUAT) 19, Egerton (18), Maseno (18) and Technical University at 10 per cent.

The study by CPS International, a marketing and social research firm, surveyed 67 universities and 50 organisations between November and January.
