The University of Nairobi wishes to notify all students whose programmes were
in session before the closure of the University on April 5, 2016 that they will
resume their studies as follows:
Students from College of Health Sciences Level 5 – Bachelor of Medicine and
Bachelor of Surgery degree programmes to resume studies on Monday, April 25,
All other programmes in all the Colleges and Campuses that were in session
University of Nairobi (UoN) students on April 1st, 2016 vote the next Students Organization
This has come after a week of rigorous campaign by the candidates.
The voting is happening accross all the colleges and campuses.
University of Nairobi students in the University Students Initiative to Society (USIS)
and Presedential Awards (PA) clubs organized a forum .
The forum addressed position of the youth in the fourth wave of
industrial revolution. This is the kind of industrial revolution characterized by
increased mobile global connectivity and powerful data analytics.
The catholic chaplaicy has organised a one day recollection
(Prayer day)for interested staff members on Saturday
19th March 2016 at the Resurrection garden in Karen.
This activity will start at 9.00am to 4.00pm. We shall reflect
of the Bountiful God's Mercy focusing on the Jubellee Year of Mercy.
It will be therefore a good moment to prepare spiritually for the
celebration of Easter.
UON has been represented by over 50 students who participated in The First Lady's
Half Marathon. All the students that participated received certificates and awards.
This was during the 3rd Half Marathon that took place on the 6th of march, 2016.
Beyond Zero is an initiative that was started by The First Lady, Margaret Kenyatta
in 2014, which partners with the government to help reduce maternal and

degree at the University of Nairobi. This was revealed during the singing of a
Memorandum of Understanding between UoN and Equity Group.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Peter Mbithi while expressing his gratitude said that the

Several speakers narrated their journey into the business world. Their journey to the mountain top is laced with myriad of challenges.

I had the chance of interviewing one of the graduates graduating in The University Of Nairobi on Friday and his inspirational and determined spirit could not be left unnoticed. George Onyango like other hopeful students joined the University in the year 2011 and was here for a Bachelor of Arts which he initially majored in Literature, Sociology and Political Science.

The Universities Academic Staff Union (UASU) - UoN Chapter, has presented a cheque
of Kshs. 100,000 in support of needy students at the University.
The cheque was presented to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Student Affairs,
Prof. Isaac Mbeche by UASU Chairman, Dr. Samuel Nyandemo and Secretary General, George Omondi.
A University of Nairobi 5th year mechanical Engineering student, Taita Ng’etich has been shortlisted for the 2015/2016 Africa Prize for Engineering Innovation by the Royal Academy of Engineering, for his innovation.
