Kimanzi Muthui, a resident of Mbagwani Village in Muumoni area, Mwingi North, is said to have fatally slashed his parent, Agnes Kisyinoi, with a panga after she declined to serve him dinner on Monday night. He then attempted suicide by taking poison and is now receiving treatment at Kyuso Level 4 hospital in Mwingi North Sub-county, Kitui County. Muumoni OCPD Morris Guda says once Muthui is discharged from hospital, he will be charged with murder.

KENYA RANKED BEST IN AFRICA IN GOVERNMENT READINESS FOR ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

Kenya has been ranked best in Africa and 52nd Globally in the recently released Government Artificial Intelligence Readiness Index 2019. The Government AI Readiness Index 2019, Compiled by Oxford Insights and the International Development Research Centre, scores the governments of 194 countries and territories according to their preparedness to use AI in their operations and delivery of public services.
