The Institute of Anthropology, Gender & African Studies (IAGAS) invites you to an international UON@50 webinar on - Gender and Intersectionality Perspectives for Development in the 21st Century. 

The Institute of Anthropology, Gender & African Studies (formerly Institute of African Studies) is among the pioneer Institutes in Kenya when it comes to Gender Studies. It has been a journey worth travelling.  

Needy, bright and deserving 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year undergraduate students who may wish to be considered for the above financial assistance should complete the attached application form from the Department of Geography and Environmental Studies.

The beneficiaries MUST be pursuing BA/Bed in Geography and Environmental Studies or BSc in Environmental Conservation at the University of Nairobi.

As part of the UoN@50 celebrations, the School of Mathematics virtually hosts a weekly mathematics seminar for the whole of Africa. The goal of the seminar is building mathematical networks across Africa and showcasing African mathematical talent.

The next talk at Africa Mathematics Seminar on Wednesday 25, 2020 by Field Medalist: Prof. Andrei Okounkov will be interesting to both mathematicians and Physicists.
