The University of Nairobi was born on 1 July, 1970 and has therefore turned 50. The University Management has mandated several activities to be included in the golden jubilee celebrations at various levels. One of the activities is holding of webinars on research breakthroughs at the University of Nairobi as well as topical subjects involving local, national and global challenges and opportunities.
The Harvard Center for African Studies is hosting a virtual conference on women entrepreneurship in Africa on October 1 – 2. The topic remains important, more so now than ever, as the pandemic is impacting businesses, especially women-run businesses on the African continent.
