A new water bowser has been commissioned by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Student Affairs at the Transport Section. The 40,000 litres water bowser was commissioned today, December, 7, 2016.
Speaking during the commissioning ceremony, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Student Affairs, Prof. Isaac Mbeche thanked the drivers for taking good care of the vehicles. He as well urged them to be cautious in fuel usage.
On his part, the Transport Manager, Prof. Julius Ogolla noted that the Transport Section is probably the biggest department in the whole university and the addition of the water bowser brings the total fleet to 245 vehicles.
The third water bowser that was commissioned today goes a long way in ensuring that students don’t suffer from water shortages.
Also present during the function was the Public Relations Manager, Mr. Peter Muturi and Personal Assistant to the Vice-Chancellor, Mr. Martin Mativo
and Mr. Jamleck Njoka, the Placement Officer, from Dean of Students Office.
