Summary:
The purpose of this internship is to provide an opportunity for graduate level degree students or ongoing students, where their
educational experience can be enhanced through practical work and they can get familiar with administrative and operations
processes. During the internship, selected candidate will be able to work with several new technologies, get hands-on experience
and experience work in an international team.
Audio visual technicians are responsible for setting up, installing, operating, testing, and troubleshooting audio and video
equipment. They operate and maintain equipment used to amplify, record and display sound and images.
Essential Functions:
Work with Audio Visual Systems Engineers to assist in:
• Assist the Lead Installer with layout of equipment at jobsite.
• Efficiently install equipment in accordance with the schedule, install procedures and quality standards.
• Take instructions from the Lead Installer, referencing drawings and manufacturer’s instructions.
• Promptly notify the Lead Installer of any discrepancies that affect the quality, function or safety of the specified system.
• At end of each day dispose of all trash and debris; collect and inventory tools; and secure all equipment.
• Assist with the testing and adjustment of systems for proper operation. .
• Any other tasks/duties as may be assigned or necessary.
Qualification:
• Either graduated or actively enrolled in some form of accredited higher education. Includes programs provided by
universities, vocational schools, community colleges, institutes of technology, or other organizations that award
academic degrees or diplomas.
• Majoring in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related experience and/or training.
• Excellent computer skills (Windows 7, Windows Server, Visio, Corel draw, Etc)
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
• Must be able to use basic power and measuring tools
• Must be able to read and understand signal flow diagrams
• Soldering skills a plus
• Needs to understand concepts for projection, remote control, and audio reinforcement.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before small groups of employees and one-on-one to customers.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
